Are you in a pet related career and want to learn more about dog behaviour and all the life stages of a dog? Maybe you are a dog walker, dog groomer, dog trainer, veterinary nurse or other professional wanting to enhance your skills or a curious dog owner wanting to better understand your pet. This course can count as continual professional development if you already have a dog related career You will be learning modern and up to date scientifically proven methods from 2 recognised professionals with 40 years’ experience between them. Northern Ireland dog trainers and behaviourists Robin Bates and Sandra Gilliland. We will be teaching this 15 week course (mixture of online and face to face) Monday evenings 16th January-24th April 2023 7-9pm at our Gone to the Dogs Premises in Ballyclare with practical session at Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary with their dogs. The course will be a mixture of online and face to face, will be continual assessment and upon successful completion we will offer references and a certificate.

At the course you will learn: -The development of dogs from puppy to older dog. -Training exercises. -Canine body language. - The history of the dog - Practical dog handling (taken at Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary using their dogs) Some of the classes will be held online.

Cost for this detailed course is £799 . You can choose to pay £399 deposit to secure your place and the remaining before 31st January or pay the whole lump sum upfront.
