Description
Cooperative Care Workshop Vet visits, grooming, nail trims, and handling don’t have to be stressful for you or your dog. This workshop focuses on teaching your dog to feel safe, confident, and willing to participate in everyday care through positive, consent-based training. You’ll learn: How to build trust and reduce handling stress Teaching your dog to opt in to care procedures Foundations for grooming, nail trims, ear checks, and vet handling Reading your dog’s body language and comfort levels Creating positive experiences around care routines Suitable for dogs of all ages and temperaments, this workshop is especially helpful for dogs who are worried about being handled or who struggle during grooming or veterinary visits. Our goal is to make care routines calmer, safer, and more cooperative for everyone involved.
The dogs will be trained using positive reinforcement ✔️ — never harsh methods. ❌ Spaces are limited, so please book through the website to secure your place. Once booked, you’ll receive an email with important information about what to bring on the night. We prefer that one person attends per dog (maximum two if necessary). ⚠️ If your dog is aggressive or highly reactive, they cannot attend this class (unless it’s specifically for reactive dogs). For these dogs, we recommend arranging a one-to-one session with our trainer instead.
