Description
Do you have an adult dog (over 6 months) who’s entered the adolescent stage, is a rescue, an older dog, or simply missed out on puppy training? Our Adult Dog Training Classes are designed to give you and your dog the fresh start you need. In a friendly, small-group setting, we’ll cover: ✔ Essential foundation exercises ✔ Refreshing existing training skills ✔ Building confidence and socialisation ✨ New for this course: These classes now incorporate the Good Companion Awards from the Association of Pet Dog Trainers — similar to the Kennel Club Good Citizen Awards. This means your dog won’t just learn vital skills, but you’ll also have the chance to achieve recognised awards as you progress. It’s the perfect blend of practical training, socialisation, and a fun challenge to work towards together. 📅 Spaces are limited — book now to secure your spot and start your dog’s journey to becoming a true Good Companion! The course will run over 5 weeks on the following dates: Thursday 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th November, and 4th December.
It is vital to continue training your dog, and our qualified trainer can give you expert advice on any problems you may have. We cover the following exercises and many more in our adult dog courses: • Behaving around people and dogs • Walking on a lead without pulling • To reliably come back when called • To focus around distractions • Sit, down and stand • Wait
The dogs will be trained using positive reinforcement and NO harsh methods. Spaces are limited so please book through the website. Upon booking, you will receive a link in your confirmation email detailing what to bring, and after each class you will receive class notes for the topics covered. A reminder email will be also sent from robin@robinbatesdogtraining.com Please check your spam/junkmail folder if you do not receive the confirmation email to your inbox, or alternatively, add this address to your contacts in advance. *We prefer that one person attends class per dog (or a maximum of two) *If your dog is aggressive or reactive it cannot come to class (unless the class is for reactive dogs). These dogs can be a risk to other people, or other dogs and we would recommend organising a one to one session with our trainer.
